In 1847, her family founded the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery located in Erie Pennsylvania. John Martin Magenau Jr. served as its COO and President until the brewery closed in 1978. Jacobs began her acting studies at the age of eight and was enrolled in the acting class on Saturdays at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She performed with The Pittsburgh Public Theater where she had a regular place for the public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to be cast in the role of Titania in its production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Jacobs which she graduated from in 2000 from Lebanon High School, she moved into New York City New York where she studied at The Juilliard School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in the year 2004.
